some interesting advice on dedicated servers

By tom ·
I?m looking for configuration tips when using windows server 2003 rc2 as a dedicated game hosting provider. Hosting (games or game) is the only job title this server will be providing.. Here is a small breakdown of what hardware, software, and network specs i am using currently. If you want more detail on the server environments ask.

Processor x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 3 GenuineIntel ~3000 Mhz
Total Physical Memory 511.48 MB
Total Virtual Memory 1.23 GB
Memory EDO error correcting ddr2x256 800mhz
Page File Space 767.00 MB
Page File Locations C:\pagefile.sys
Sata hard drive

Server Environment...
No sound card
1mb video
USB, key, mouse etc
Server administration using RDP services

Network Environment...
Backbone GigabitEthernet4-0.GW7.SEA1.ALTER.NET
T1 connection from server to network/backbone
Download speed <or> 10066kbps
Upload speed <or> 17165kbps
Intel 21140bace-pci Ethernet adapter x1

Software Environment...
MS server 2003 rc2 standard edition ver-5.2.3790 Service Pack 1 Build 3790
iis 6.x

The hardware and network are a good setup for hosting games, but the software needs some fine tuning. Also please note that this server must run windows OS as customer requests it be. To rap this up, I am looking for some interesting advice or tweaks to for the server.

Enable/disable services
Install/uninstall programs
Network Optimizing tips
Security Optimizing

Things like that?
What would you do to the server to better the hosting?
If you have your own dedicated server fill free to post your config ideas
Thanks guys -
