sonicwall 2040 Enhanced OS

By inquisitive ·
I've been told that I can remove the router from our Internet connection (T1) and plug the T1 line directly into the 2040 port. Does anyone have any input on this or has anyone done this before with a T1 Line?
Can it be done without a converter rj48 to rj45?

No it can't be done the T1 line uses a different protocol to send/receive data and the router acts as an interpreter for the T1 and Computer Network or in this case a LAN Port.

If you have killed the router you can replace this easily enough and you can set the router not to block anything at all if required though for the life of me I couldn't understand anyone willing doing something like that and opening their system up to attack.
