Soon, new mobile phones will come without a charger

Over the last half a year, it so happens that I have bought 3 new mobile phones.

Both the LG and the SonyEricsson use MicroUSB for both computer connection and to charge the unit.
The Nokia phone still uses its traditional charger, but can also be charged via the Micro-USB connection.

So, the industry agreement on a shared solution for chargers is gaining speed. Soon, new phones won’t have any charger included in the box!

By the time the vendors stop supplying (wall) chargers to each and every phone, you’ll already have a drawer full of those at home.
Actually, although the USB cable is used as interface, these phones typically charge with higher current than a PC USB port usually supplies, so charging from a computer is in most cases slower (if possible at all).

Push comes to shove some one will give you a charger with a phone and the guy who doesn’t will be selling only to the suckers.
