Sound Card Driver

By gentrynoble ·
I have a MS 6156 motherboard and a SIS 6325 sound card. I have had to reformat my computer due to a virus. Everything operates well now except for the fact I do not have any sound.
Where can download a driver that would match the motherboard and sound card? My system is a packard bell system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
GentryNoble

If the system is a Packard Bell, the support site for the US is www.priorityonesupport.com

Other resources include www.driverguide.com
and SiS's web site http://www.sis.com/support/index.html

you could also try drivers.com for the soundcard driver, i find it very usefull.

Also, a good idea is, to keep all your drivers on a seperate hard disk or partition. I also use this for install programs, especially when i'm doing a lot of re-configuring.

eg...

|-drivers\

| |-sound\
| | |-Creative\
| | |-SIS\
| | |-SIS3625
| |
| |-video\
| | |-Tident
| | |-SIS
| etc..
|-installs
|-zonealarm |-acrobatreader
|
etc

In folders, just store the .zip or .exe that you downloaded from the internet and if you ever have to reconfigure, they are there, without having to re-install.

I do the same with service-packs & updates for my OS's too.
