I have a Compaq Prolinea 5100E. I installed a CD-ROM and am attempting to install a Soundblaster Pro 16 sound card. Windows recognizes that it is there, it claims to have no conflicts in the system devices, and the volume is not muted, yet we cannot get any sound. Neither CD-ROMs with sound, nor the system sounds work. However, a CD-ROM that runs in DOS works fine. Any help getting this to work is greatly appreciated.
