Speedtouch 546 – telnet DHCP

by steve . Updated 19 years, 2 months ago

Hi there

A colleague has purchased the Speedtouch 546 modem router to be used alongside a firewall box. We have used Vigors for everything but have so many problems over the last 6 months. We just needed this for internet connection only as DHCP is being dished out by the main server.
However, it has DHCP enabled by default and there is no web interface option to disable it that I can find. So I telnetted to it and turned off the DHCP server. However, whenever I reboot the unit the DHCP server is enabled again.

Does anyone have any ideas how this can be set to ‘Off’ permanently?

Thanks

Steve.
