spool32 errors

What caused spool 32 errors. I will get these alot when trying to print. It will come up spool32 error caused an invalid page fault in xxxxxxxxxx. What causes these kinds of errors/invalid page faults.

You might want to check your machine for the Nimda virus, especially if you get the errors printing from a microsoft product. Check out housecall.antivirus.com . If that isn't the problem check out microsofts support site.

Spool 32 errors are usually problems with the printer driver. Try getting the latest drivers for you printer. (If you have more than one printer, remove all but one and see if the errors are gone.)

To really help, I would need to know what OS, and printers you have installed.

You might want to look for some orphan files in your spool directory. Usually C:\WINNT\system32\spool\prtprocs\w32x86.

cray above hit the nail on the head but to go a little more in-depth go to start settings printers
click on printing preferencesyoull see a button for new drivers these arnt extra drivers these are so you can print to different machines across a network look for your version of printer in the selection list the driver you want is most likely the plc version of your printer!:-)

We were getting a rash of these errors on our network. This was caused by McAffe VShield conflicting with Spool32.exe on our Win98se computers. Microsoft advised us to replace Spool32.exe with the SpoolSS.exe from Windows ME!?
We tried this and whaddya know, it works!
