Sprint wireless AirCard for use on Pc and Router

By Nepolian ·
I have a Sprint Wireless aircard. That I use to access the internet on my laptop and Pc. I would like to use Netflix's Roku Player. It needs to access the Internet thru an Ethernet connection thru a Router. Is there a way I can use a router or get this Roku player to access the internet. I believe it still needs some type of PC connection to activate the Broadband card. I'm trying to bypass a subscription to a high speed cable internet provider.

First, check your Sprint account and make sure you have enough access to allow for streaming video. Many of the 3G style wireless providers are limiting you to 5GB total data traffic per month. A single movie could push you over that limit.

There are 2 ways to accomplish the hardware connection.

1. Get a router that has an aircard socket on it. They are out there. Search for "aircard router" and you will see a number of options.

2. Enable Internet Connection Sharing on your PC and connect the NIC on the PC to a router or switch.
