SQL 2005 and Domain Controller on same server.

Hi,

Can I run SQL 2005 and Domain Controller on the same machine? kindly advice me.

Domain control isn't that big a hit on resources.
If you can afford a dedicated machine get one.

Personally I'd be more happy making by sql box a back up domain controller, than my domain controller a dbms if you see what I mean.

DC's aren't heavy on the network, avoid doubling up a DBMS with things like Exchange or IIS, unless there is minimal usage of them.

The thing to think about is redundancy, if you lose that machine, you lose both functions.
