I have taken over managing a website that someone else has configured. So far, I’ve only run into one thing that I don’t understand. There is a redirect on a asp page that takes the user to an SSL site. I can’t find anywhere in IIS 6.0 where the page or any site is requiring SSL. Does the “Require secure channel SSL” checkbox need to be checked somewhere in order to use SSL or can this be done in the reidirect script? Any ideas or does this question not make any sense?

      In reply to ssl

the redirect can specify to connect to ssl site.

ssl is a protocol, if the server supports and has a certificate it will work.

conntecting to and are the same for the redirect, as the server takes care of running the ssl site.
