    start-up problems.

I have two questions. #1. I was told that you can speed up your ips dial up if you change the setting in the extra settings field on the advanced button of the modems connection of the default modem in the modems folder on the Control Panel. Is this true? Or will it hurt something? #2. I am getting an error at boot-up. I need to know how to fix it. It reads (Plug & Play Configuration Error). Although windows loads and every thing seem to be working, I still don’t like to see errors. Can you help me?

    Thank You.

1)The string (S11=35 OR 50) is the setting you add to the extra setting box,but it also depends on the line from the wall,is the line old, does other traffic use the same line, what is the location are things to be be considered to see improvement.

Check the device manager for any IRQ conflicts to solve the Plug and Play configuration problem

No physical damage is done by the speedup, only some central offices’ will not connect.
Question #2: Check the BIOS setting to see which IRQs and DMAs are set to PNP, and which are set to ISA/EISA.
      Regards, Chris
