Stock options; industry & Microsoft?

By indigo18 ·
This morning's newspaper (Gannett owned,) stated at the end of the Microsoft stock option article, "The last vestiges of the internet boom fades away.)"
Are we the new the dinasoars since Telcom is evaporating and IT is exported like the shoe and steel industry?
Does any one think that WiFi applications are the new bleeding edges or is there another new technology boom waiting?

Telecom is evaporating?

by Oz_Media In reply to Stock options; industry & ...

"Are we the new the dinasoars (sic) since Telcom is evaporating and IT is exported like the shoe and steel industry?"
I have yet to see a decline in the telecom industry. Over the past three years, sales have grown by over 12% annually in my area.
I assume you are referring to the decline of a competitive market due to the deregulation act of 1986 (Canada).
I know that companies such as Sprint and AT&T have slowed down their hard marketing tactics due to a lack of competitive marketing, buttelecom is just flying here faster than ever.
With the top telecom manufacturers (NEC & NORTEL)developing the most robust and ACTUALLY WORKING (unlike 3-Com and Avaya) VoIP networks, the industry is in boom.
