I’ve been getting a series of STOP errors on my PC. I had windows 2000 and for the first 2 months there were no problems. Then i started getting stop errors (almost every kindthere is). I’ve determined that software is not the problem because duringa format and install of XP i got a “PFN_list_Corrupt” error and a stop error “STOP: 0x0000004e”. I have a Soltek motherboard a maxtor HD, generic RAM, and a Duron 1.2 Ghz processor. This processor came with only a 14 day warranty! I believe that it may be causeing my problems. Is the CPU a possible cause of STOP errors?
