I’m currently having a very weird problem with my PC. It seems that every so often, probably 3-5 minutes after booting up, anything I’m doing on the computer will suddenly start operating at extremely slow speeds. In games, framerates drop down to 1-2 fps. Anything else, browsing or otherwise, it seems that draw rates are really slow, I can almost watch every line be drawn in as I go from site to site. This just started happening recently, and immediately I thought it was a video card error. I have a voodoo5 5500 and had never had a problem up to that point. I exchanged the card, no change. This happens every time. 2d or 3d mode, case open or closed (nothing feels hot anyway). I’ve reinstalled windows 3 times so far, tried different drivers, etc. I’ve removed all cards except the video card, no dice. At this point, I’m ready to dump this motherboard and get a new one. My system config is:
