Ok so heres the deal Ive got a client in the UK that keeps complaining that when he leaves his outlook open for a long time he has problems connecting to our e-mail server. The error is:
“Task ‘smtp.lwintl.org – Sending and Receiving’ reported error (0x800CCC7D) : ‘Your outgoing (SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured connections have worked in the past, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).”
We dont use Exchange, we use Merak Mail Server. Theres no other problems connecting. Hes able to login securely no problem but whe he leaves his outlook running for several hours he gets this error when trying to connect. Being british its too much for him to simply close outlook and start it again. Any idea whats causing this?
**EDIT** hes also sent me this message:
”
> Task ‘smtp.lwintl.org – Sending and Receiving’ reported error
> (0x80004005) : ‘The operation failed.’
