System Account disabled

The local system account on a web server is disabled. I see this in the security log. I get failed logon events (evt. id 531). The reason specified is:Account currently disabled. I'm looking for a way to enable the local system account.

The OS is Windowds Server 2003 w/SP2. I connect to the server via RDP. The event is:

I can restart any service that is configured to run under the system account to generate this logon failure.
