What causes system bios to reset by themselves? In this case it’s a K7VZA Motherboard with an Athlon 1000 processor runing Win98SE. The PCI IRQ assignments were set manually to avoid network/graphic card/sound card conflicts. Suddenly last week the machine started freezing after 2 minutes of inaction at the keyboard. On reboot I saw that the bios setting had gone back to default so there were device conflicts like mad. I corrected them and the computer booted fine but still froze after 2-5 minutes of inaction.
What gives??? Any ideas???
