system permission over c disappears

By rgun2515 ·
Why would the system permission over the Root "C" disappear on shutdown on an 2000 AD Controller? When I start the server I have to start in AD restore mode and add "system" to c along with full permissions. Then restart. It then boots and runs fine until the server is shut down. There are no error or warning events. It's like someone deleted system form permission on c. Any Ideas?

I seem to recall that C needs access by everyone

A long time ago I was reading about setting file permissions in Windows 2000. I believe that the C directory needs to have some access allowed for the Everyone group.

By shutting it off you have done everything you state in the above, basiccally you deleted system form by turnning it off, removing the electricity is the way I understand what you said.
