How can I change the color of a table's cells by focusing over another cell?

This method should work if you are using IE 5. You'll have to change what you are referencing for change color, ie. pass the page id of the table as an argument rather than 'this'. If that doesn't work, or if you want a more robust (and more complicated) system, check out.

<script language="Javascript">
function changecolor(thiscell) {
thiscell.style.backgroundColor ="gray";
}

####and the tables######
<td id='fun' onMouseover='return changecolor(this)' onMouseOut='return this.style.backgroundColor="white"'>hello</td>
<td id='fun' onMouseover='this.bgColor = "green"' onMouseOut='this.bgColor="white"'>just a simple test</td></tr>
