task manager

By SypherSoul(sp) ·
just recently my internet connection has been reconfiguring itself by creating a secondary connection such as the modem calling back the server; but now when I try to access task manager it says task manager is disabled by administrator but I am the administrator. Could someone assist me in correcting this feature. I also went into safe mode and enable task manager throught gpedit.msc and and still does not work

OS? (Windows? XP?) Type of internet connection? (DSL-Broadband? through LAN?) How did you do the set-up? Was this computer set-up to use a previous connection?
(also, the possibility that you got slamed with some sort of badware)
