There are two ways to do it correctly.......

If this is WinXP, instead of 'going to that folder', use Disk Cleanup or use Internet Options in the Control Panel.

Disk Cleanup can be reached by double clicking My Computer, then right clicking drive C and choose properties. The Cleanup button will be obvious on the first tab.

Internet Options in the Control Panel will open a window which says Browser History on the first tab. There is a Delete button there. Click it and you will be able to choose to delete the temporary internet files.

The easiest way to clear them is

by Deadly Ernest In reply to Temporary Internet Files

to open the Internet Option in the control panel and go to the tab which shows the location of the temporary files and click on the button that says 'delete files' or ' clear folder' which ever shows in your system. After that go to the end tab and go down the list to find the options that says ' delete files on exiting' and activate that to keep the cache clear.

I don' t have a win box in front of me at the moment so I'm not sure of the exact order of the tabs.

second choice is to go through Tools to open the properties for the files and on the one for the file display options you go down the list and check the box that says ' show hidden files'

To see them manually

just add a \content.ie5 to the end of the path like this;

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
