Terminal Server 2003 Script

By armando.sepulveda ·
Hello,

I inherited a network with one SBS 2003 server and a 2003 Terminal server. The workstations are XP and are only used to connect to Terminal server.

The problem: A login script map?s drives to both the workstation and terminal users.

How and where do I set the login script just to run for terminal users only.

Also workstation log on to the network, they purchased PC?s as a cheaper alternative to Winterms.

Thanks for any help on this

you have a SBS domain with a member server that's a terminal server that provides applicationto users. now those users only connect to the terminal server? then why have the SBS box?

Next you say workstations log on to the network but in the beginning you say workstations are only used to connect to the terminal server. Which is it?

mapped drives for what? and from where?

logon scripts are probably in GP under computer configuration and user configuration. If the guy who set this up wasn't a FNG , he didn't change the default domain GP.

The SBS is used for Exchange.

The workstations log in to the domain, then the user runs RDP to connect to the terminal server. The script mapped network drives and the users share.

How do I make the script run only for the terminal user and not the local PC ?

Thanks

a rather old post however a possible solution would be to use something like:
****************************************
if "%computername%" == "TerminalName" goto section1
goto end

:Section1
script
script
script

:end
**********************************
