Terminal services licensing problem

By syvert ·
Hi all,

Here is the point : I've got a Terminal Server running fine in a domain with a DC. Both are Windows 2003 server entreprise.
The DC is the licensing server for TS CALs, is activated and came with illimited license.

My problem is that my Terminal server doesn't see this licensing server, and all I get are temporary license !

The strange point is that when I start the "Terminal License Server Monitor", it tells me there is no Terminal License Server on my network, but if I then make the connection to the DC (in the Terminal License Server Monitor) I can see it working well, ready to distribute the licenses.

What's wrong ? Which point do I need to verify ?

Thanks

Terminal Server does not "come" with unlimited CALs. When you initially install a license server for Terminal Server, it says "unlimited" because it IS unlimited, but only for 120 days and only for temporary licenses. You have to purchase and register actual per client or per user Terminal Client CALs before anyone can get a permanent license.

Hope this helps!
