Do you feel safe posting your email and everything?

by seanferd In reply to Thai Charity for Disabled ...

I know people do it, but bots crawl the web looking for addresses to spam.

Anyway, as this is a forum, why not say a little about something you need help with, just to get the ball rolling?

If you have Windows 2003 server questions, post them here, this is what TR forums is all about.

Y'oure Right

by johnmichael123 In reply to Info security 101 >> don' ...

Sometimes explaiing the issue is difficult and results in massive typing effort for all. Thats why I think it would be often save time and be easier to discuss. e.g Server has some user roaming profiles - as admin I can see the contents of some but not others. I can if I take ownership but that sometimes seems to destroy the roaming. Also when using SyncToy to copy data folders it hangs on some file or folder - it seems due to folder permissions. If I take ownership it works - why is taking Ownership different to being the administator ?
And I suspect taking ownership has some other effects - I don't know what. It seems very complex.

I'm not really looking for a long term long distance relationship right now, but I would try to help answer an occasional question or two when asked.
