The Active Directory MMC console appears blank when clicked on and attempting to open to administer user accounts but all the username accounts are no longer present.
A reboot last week “seemed” to resolve this but the same “inaccessible AD Console” has re-appeared sometime over this past weekend or perhaps sometime this morning. Our small I.T. company took over this company’s I.T. system and we are seemingly coming across “system ghosts” as we get to know the system more and more. We initially performed a 16hr analysis and did find some issues not in sync with standard protocol which we’ve been able to resolve but, this one (AD in-accessible) really has me concerned. The company has 73 domain workstation computers and is running an AD Windows 2003 file server.
The error message states that AC cannot open because, “There is not enough space on the disk.” Yet, there is sufficient harddrive space on the C and D drives. Ive never seen this one before. The system is a Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition – x64.
Can someone help us out?
