guys, i would like to ask any industry experts out there, how viable is the thin client in a university setting, where at any one time the server could be receiving requests for printing, files, web pages etc.. from as many as 500 students at any one time.
i ask this because in my university (Rhodes University – South Africa) we have about 300clients on an 10/100 LAN. each machine is a stand alone client with its own software and each student has a unique account with which they use o log onto the university’s server(s).
any response would be greatly appreciated.
