I have a problem that I cannot resolve. I have been having problems with my network client computers syncing time with the servers every since the time change. I have Windows XP and Windows 2000 servers and clients. I ran the Microsft patches on all machines and on the Windows 2000 computers ran Microsoft’s TZEdit program. Everyday now I have had several users who could not logon to their network drives because of time syncing problems. In most cases I have the user reboot and they can get in. Today I had a user that cannot logon to his machine at all. Every time he attempts to do so an error message states the time between the client and server are not synced.
Here is my problem with this client computer. I cannot logon to that machine locally. I am not sure if I have just forgotten the administrator password or something has altered so that I cannot logon locally. At any rate I am totally locked out of this machine. Is there any way to reset local passwords if I cannot logon? Is there anything I can do that will allow me access to this computer and adjust the time syncing problem? Any help would be appreciated. If you could post as soon as possible I would appreciate any advice as I am really stuck on this as I have no means of entry into this machine now.
