Haven’t been here in a long time, took soulrider’s advice and get back in here. Having BIG problems with networking 2 pc’s. THREE LONG MONTHS, NO SOLUTIONS.
Host pc:WinXP H Edition, MSI M7T mobo, 1g Tbird, 256 ram, 40g maxtor,LG cdrom,radeon 64DDR,365W Enermax, Ethernet Fast 10/100 card.
Other pc:Win98SE, PcChips MRT756 mobo(fully integrated),Pentium11 533B, 128ram,13.6g Fujitsu, Creative X52 cdrom, 250W, Ethernet Fast 10/100 card.
PROBLEM:pc’s set up by tech in the store where I bought cards and cross over cable. All is fine except when I’m playing a game(NFS Porche Unleashed) on host computer,a friend comes over & connects to the net via IE; this causes my game to stop and disappear. I’m left with my desktop and connection dialog box. I can click on my game again & it starts where I left off but it’s annoying & no-one seems able to help me. Please bare in mind that I’m on cancer meds and need step by step instructions. Hope it’s not a big inconvienience.
