Trouble with Internet explorer

By adoria1 ·
If, browsing Internet, I try to go here:
http://www.telelavoro.rassegna.it/fad/telelav/l1/intro_file/frame.htm
where is a slide show I see slides in non readable manner with all
writings overlapped.
Idem when I try to go here:
http://puntoedu.indire.it/progetto/index.htm
My SO is Windows 98 SE
Browser: IE 6.0
Screen resolution: 1024x768 and 24 bit color.
I have also done Browser Challenge, URL:
http://www.attivissimo.net/bc/pagina01.htm
and I have not get over test 4, Internet connection paralysis.
Regards,

Andrea

Trouble with Internet explorer

The problem is not you or your computer. The first site you list is not programmed correctly. There are font changes that are unexplained and from page to page these fonts change sizes and yes, they overlap. This is because whoever programmed the html coding, did not do so consistently from page to page (maybe several people progammed different pages, but did not consult each other when putting them together).

I didn't see anything wrong with the second or third sites.... but you may also be experiencing these because of your internet connection.

These sites are in Italy (Italian), and it is not clear to me what they are for... but ultimately, if you have a slow connection (and these sites seem slower than normal on my DSL -- probably because they are in Italy), you may also experience font overwritings and other inconsistencies from page to page. But, again, the first site is not programmed properly. The slide show font changes.

Incidentally, if you have no problems with other sites --- then almost always it is either the site itself that is not programmed correctly, or it is a problem with the sites connection to the Internet, or their ISP. I'm assuming that these sitesare the only ones you have problems with.

If other sites are not a problem, then your browser is fine, and Win98SE should be fine with it as well.

Just to be sure, look for Temporary Internet Files and delete everything under it. Look for anddelete everything under History, and Cookies as well. The files will be rebuilt the next time you use the site. Delete *.tmp, ~*.* as well.

The problem is with the site. The PowerPoint conversion did not work well.
