We ahve recently put in several digital video surveillance systems. There is a remote client which is viewed at 2 other workstations. The video looks great, however it gets logged off frequently due to network traffic issues. I have already lowered the MTU of all machines to 1495. Can or should I go lower? I have tried to reduce network traffic by adding a new NIC and trying to seperate the camera traffic with it’s own switch (linksys 5 port switch). Is there a way that I can give priority to my video traffic? this is driving us crazy. It logs off about every 25 minutes.
