TS Licensing

By alexr ·
I purchased TS 2003 CALS. Installed and activated on PDC. The real TS is gonna be on one of member servers in Domain. When I go to TS Configuration on the member server and TS License I can see the name of PDC which I expected to see. However the member server keeps warning me with message "Terminal License Server can not be found". Do I need to install and activate TS License feature as well on my member server or its enough that I got it on PDC only?

Registry Key

by XT John In reply to TS Licensing

I remember having to change a registry key, in order for the Terminal Servers to be forced to look at the license server. I scratched my head... and found this link:)

has lots of great info on ts licensing, and halfway down are the instructions for pointing directly to the licensing server. Hope that helps...

Registry Key could be the issue

by alexr In reply to Registry Key

I got 4 member servers 2003 on my network but only that one complaints about Terminal License. The others are OK. I remembering now that I installed this server from 2003 SP1 CD with different License Key and after that purchased License but it was License for 2003 SR2. I did not want reinstall and I just changed licenced Key and have never activated it...
