beeNotes is a web based Domino e-mail client for people who are on the move and need to access their mails or personal information periodically. carrying your laptop, which can certainly be an advantage for people who are either globetrotting for business or personal reasons.
I installed beeNotes and found it to be a very fast and easy way of communication.
Installing beeNotes is very easy as there is no client side deployment and hence you can start using it almost instantly. One great feature of beeNotes is, it is platform and browser independent and hence can work in any environment and on any browser that’s installed on your machine that’s a great advantage you all will agree to! To my wonder, beeNotes does not use anyActiveX controls or Applets, and hence its access time is faster.
Feature-wise beeNotes has all the standard features of any mail client and a rich-text editor. Additional facilities like Address Book lookup, Nickname support, Multiple attachments and Signature facility. beeNotes UI is intuitive. beeNotes also helps in Personal Information Management, by allowing Calendaring and To-Do features.
Personal and group Calendaring facilities like scheduling of events, meetings, appointments, and reminders, which ease the day-to-day operations.
The Group To-Do’s allow you to delegate tasks and assignments to individual team members, which helps in project management as well.

beeNotes has been built to be used by Domino users and is very lite in architecture. It is deployed on a J2EE compliant web/application server. The security is provided through SSL layer, so any communication between beeNotes client and the server is encrypted. beeNotes has less maintenance and it does not disturb the smooth running of the Domino server and Notes client.
