Unauthorized Reboot

LOTS of things can cause this problem.

Please post a comment with your system details:
Version of Windows
CPU type and speed
Amount of RAM
Video card
Amount of free hard drive space

General causes:
Running out of resources;
You may not have a enough free disk space to support virtual memory.
You may have too many running applications. Every icon in the system tray uses resources.

Spyware:
Download and run AdAware from www.lavasoft.de

Viruses:

Corrupt Windows files

A weak or under powered power supply

A bad CPU or power supply cooling fan

As I said, more details will help us narrow down the cause.

Based upon what you say here and in your previous question (monitor displaying no signal), I'm inclined to believe you have a serious overheating issue. There are some excellent and efficient cooling fans out there...replace yours and see if it improves the issue. Also, little things like cleaning the air ducts in your case, blowing out the dust, running it in a cooler location, etc help.

Good luck...hope this helps.

just fixed one, that had the same problem, i found the transistor in power supply was bad and two voltage regulators. they would get hot and short out. i weighed what it would cost to fix
it. by the time i ordered the parts, and paid shipping it was cheaper to buy a whole new power supply. if your good at electronics and know how to solder good you can fix it your self or let someone else do it for you.
