unresolved items with activesync

By royr1989 ·
After syncing my pocket pc with my PC, I have an unresolved item in my Calendar. I have done all the quick fixes like soft reset on the Pocket PC, changing sync rules, and restating my PC. Nothing seems to resolve it. I also reinstalled the activesync version as well. Any ideas?

What is the item? Is it an appointment that is ot coming across? Is it duplicated in your calendar and on your pocket pc? Is is a recurring item?

Try deleting the item, syncing and then adding it back in (if you need it).

Cheers.

I am having the same the problem with mine. I have also done all the hot fixes nothing works. If I reboot it will sync once and then not again until I either reboot, reinstall, or something else. I have installed the newest activesync from MS it didnt help. AHHHHHH

Okay this is what I have found. Look around in the MS forums and you will find all kinds of stuff on this. Apparently, when the pst file is locked(in use) by outlook activesync becomes unhappy with it. It is recommended that you close outlook before you sync. I have been doing this for the last 30 mi and it works everytime as long as outlook isnt running. Try it out

Is it lazy programming or what . . . ?

by PATOPP In reply to unresolved items with act ...

My Activesync had been working fine for years, suddenly after a weekend, it doesn't like something and gives me 1 unresolved item in my calendar. What absolutely kills me is that ActiveSync knows exactly what item it is but will not report it back in the form of, oh... say an error message or something? Sheesh! I'll delete the appointment(s) and recreate it if it's causing a problem. No big. But to have to go through the contortions of re-installing, or creating new calendars, syncing just parts, etc. to try and narrow down what the offending appointment is, is just ridiculous. I guess this has only been going on for 4 or 5 years now, according to the comments in this thread. Maybe MS doesn't have the caliber of programmers to fix the code.

<Vent = off>

I needed that.

I hear you PATOPP. The same problem just hit my Axim about a week ago. It seems impossible to find the offending appointment.
If it would highlight it, report it in a snync log,.... anything... that would be a great help.

Google calendar will be passing up MS's version any second now.
