With the “soon to be released” Windows Server 2003, when do you actually plan to upgrade? Personally, I’ve found it good practice to wait at least 6 months (or until the first service pack is released) before diving into a new Microsoft OS.
I’m interested in seeing how many updates, security patches, etc. are issued within the first month. I’m not trying to bash Microsoft here, I understand how most products (especially software products) are not fully tested until released to the publicand are used in real environments.
What are the upgrade policies you use in your environment?
