Start by identifying which via chipset that you have. The numbers are on the chips on the MB, should be in your MB manual, and should display in device manager when you expand the system devices branch.

Assuming that both chips on the MB are VIA, download the 4 in 1 driver.
If you are using built in sound from the via chipset there is another driver for file the sound.
Same if you are using on board S3 video.
Even if you are using a seperate video card, this would be a good time to update the driver for the video card.

You can get to the VIA driver files from www.via.com I believe that you have the option to select a language.
For links to other manufactures for drivers, go to www.driverguide.com
The user name is drivers, the password is all

To install the VIA driver, create a folder, (I use C:\Drivers\VIA)
Extract the zip archive into the folder.
Shut down ALL unneeded programs.
Close all of the programs in the system tray.
Use ALT-CTRL-DELETE to display a list of other running programs. The only one you need is explorer.

Run the setup.exe from the folder you extracted the files to.
Follow the prompts on the screen.

You will likely need to re-boot several times to complete the installation project.

If you update your video driver, and there is not a setup.exe file, check the directions that they should have posted on their site.
Normally, you can right click on an open area of the desktop, select properties,
click on the setting tab, click on advanced, click on the adapter tab, click on change,
Follow the prompts, and point the driver wizard to the extracted files for the video drivers.

Best Wishes

Just running the exe your download or the setup from an extracted package should be all your need to do to upgrade the drivers.

You'll probobly want to know what chipset you're using first. This is something you can tell from the post splash when you first kick on your computer or from looking at the drivers that are already installed.

VIA's website is www.viatech.com. I would suggest looking at your motherboard manufacturers site first before going to VIA to download them there.Mark
