I have just put together a new pc and I’m having some problems with the USB. I have enabled the usb in the bios and windows XP is detecting the ports. When I plug in a device though XP acts like nothings changed. The devices I’ve tryed are an HP 970and a SanDisk Card reader. I checked the websites of both products and followed their instructions but still nothing. I decided to hook up the front USB connection on the case to the motherboard and windows detected that properly as well. When I plug the devices into those USB ports they both work fine. So it appears to just be the USB ports on the motherboard. Again, the bios does say they are enabled and XP does detect them. It just doesn’t do anything when something is plugged into them.
