    Usb Port Or Parallel Port

    I am trying to use my laptop as the brain for a robotic project I am embarking on instead of the conventional PIC but i have a problem my laptop has no serial port so i have to program using usb or parallel port. Please Help How do i program USB ports OR parallel ports from any high level programming language. Visual basic.net will be preferrable. Thank you

      You can use the free version of the
      “just basic” language, and a hardware USB to serial cable converter. Inside the programa, you will work with a conventional COM serial port.
