check to see if you have the windows cab files on your computer. if so you can load it from there. you will find them in "c:windows/options/cabs.

You obviously never had the opportunity to coax a reticent LP album back into life! Same theory applies.

Depending on the severity of the "scratch" you might first try to use a lint free wipe coated with Isopropal alcohol to clean the damaged disk.

If this doesn't work, then since you bought this disk legally, you also have legal recourse to get a replacement disk at no extra charge.

If you can't fix it. Replace it. Carry on. Enjoy :)

Dish soap also works. Wipe on rinse off. Dry off with a 100% cotton cloth. Wipe from center to the outside, !!NOT IN CIRCLES!!

staples also sells a wonderful cd scratch repair kit for about 10 dollars. actually, if you can get some plastic polish that's basically all that's in the kit. or turtle wax(carefully)for a deeper scratch. then clean with alcohol. use the polish at a 90degree angle to the scratch, not in circles. let it dry then buff it off in circles.
