So far I gather that a webcam is used mainly for video conferencing. I, however, would like to know if it is a practical tool to take pictures of elements of a room (physical network connexions, etc.) to transmit to someone by mail or connected by modem. The aim is to be able to view all elements of a problem on a distant site.
I am using a portable PC.
