Usin Nero to burn 90 or 99 minute CDs

By surf1121 ·
I ordered 90 minute CDs, but when I try to burn on them, Nero does not read the extra space and keeps asking for a CD with more space.

Usin Nero to burn 90 or 99 minute CDs

Who is the manufacturer of these "90-minute" CDs?

I can't seem to find anybody that sells blank CDs witha capacity greater than 80-minute/700MB.

What version of Nero are you runnning? Version 5.5? I would make sure that either through the Nero program Help, or Support on Nero's web site, that you have all the updates and version upgrades that you need to support your 90 minute CDs.

Have you used any other burning software to burn 90 minute CDs, and with sucess?

Its always a good idea to update the firmware of your CDR or CDRW from time to time, especially dealing with new media formats. You can always find firmware updates, or the status anyways at the manufacturs web site.

Nero 5.5 does support 74, 80 & 90 minute cds (don't see anything about 99 minute cds).

Make sure you habe the latest Nero version 5.5.9.17:

(which should be a free upgrade from 5.0)

And make sure that you hardware (cd-rom burner) supports 90 minute cds.

Many users went through similar problems when the first 80 Minute CDs came out.

Does your CD-RW drive manufacture support these longer CDs?

If the drive does not support the longer track format, nero cannot support it either.

You may need afirmware update for the CD drive from the mfg.

You might also check with the manufacture of the CDs for a list of drives and software that supports the longer track length.
