Using Autorun for homemade CDs

By Etoile ·
I'm making a sort of family history with photographs, movie clips etc. for members of my family and want to give everybody a copy on CD. I'm setting it up like a web page with HTML, but I can't get the CD to autostart when inserted. Just using the autorun.inf command doesn't seem to work. Is there some small application I can point the autorun.inf to? (I have succeeded using an 8k application from a magazine coverdisk, but this is subject to copyright) I'm told it's really simple, but nobody has actually helped me do it!
Thanks in advance ...

Using Autorun for homemade CDs

I think you can use the open= line of autorun.inf to point to Internet Explorer (or Netscape or whatever) and pass the name of the web page you want to open.

open=C:\program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe mypage.html

Or there are some 3rd party programs you can use. The first one here is freeware:

Thanks - tried your 1st freeware and worked fine. Very easy to use, and just what I needed.
