Using Linksys WRT54GS with a Cisco 2600 router

by metalmachine . Updated 17 years, 1 month ago

Hi all.

SO, I have a Linksys WRT54GS that I am trying to connect Cisco 2600 router with. Im doing this for testing and learning purposes.

In the 2600, I have a T1 CSU/DSU module and a WIC T1 Serial module along with the built in FastEthernet connections.

Essentially I am just trying to uplink the Cisco router from the Linksys router so that I can play with and test the functions of the Cisco 2600. For this, do I need another Ethernet module instead of the Serial or CSUDSU? Or can I uplink to the CSUDSU from the Linksys?

I know that the Ethernet port would connect to a switch should I choose to use one. Or I could use the 2600 as my main router, and if so, how would I set that up? My internet access is provided through a cable modem.

Thanks all!
