Very slow transfer speed from ipad pro to usb c flash drive

I use Sandisk usb-c flash drive formatted in exfat filesystem to backup my iPad pro 2020 but transferring files from iPad to the flash drive is very very slow. I don’t want to format it in apfs file system because it won’t be readable on windows pcs. Is there a solution for faster file transfer or Are there certain types of flash drives or external ssds that can make me transfer files faster?

I found it better to transfer to a server over WiFi. When I had my pad I used DropBox and as I copied items to my dropbox, the PC that was on began it’s sync so when I was done there was little to no wait time.

How long is a piece of string? Can you be more specific and clear your question to give us a chance to provide you with a useful response? You can try to purchase a media card reader, this way, your ipad will connect to it as a reader, and you will transfer your photos with it that way.
