Sounds like you need to do a little cleanup of the hard disk, go into explorer and erase the files in the windows\temp directory and also erase the *.tmp files in windows. Scan disk builds the fffe0001.tmp files and any time a folder has more than 512 files it starts slowing your machine down when accessed, extremely bad if it's your windows directory. The windows\temp folder is where all your print jobs and installation programs temporarily store space. So clearing this will fix all the unprinteds left out there as well as free up space for more print files. Good Luck!

my questions for you:
1) what os and service pack?
2) what has changed since things used to work?
3) do you have plenty (>300MB) of free, defragged hard disk space.
4) are other applications slow also?
5) when it refuses to print, can you printa test page at that point (right click printer icon, pick properties, print test page)

Besides cleaning up the TEMP. folder download Adware www.lavasoftusa.com . If you do a lot of Internet surfing chances are you have picked up some "spybots". These are known to slow down a system also. A good anti-virus scan with updated definations would be in order also.

A slow CPU could also be the cause also. Have you run scan disc and defrag lately? If not you should.
