VFW to WDM?

Having problems with video capture device not recognising hardware. Receive error message (code 10) for webcam, camcorder. Have downloaded all hardware drivers imaginable. Contacted MS, Creative, Logitech – no help.
“Capture driver not installed properly” when I try to connect to ICUii/Dazzle/CU-SeeMe.
Could it be a VWF/WDM issue – if so, how do I go about fixing it.
Running XP, High Spec, upgraded from ME
Please help!
