i have a new asus mb and PNY’s geforce 4 vid card. Had for a total of a week, been on 1024 resolution with no probs. Unplugged and went on friends LAN, still ok. Returned home wouldn’t boot, just freeze up at “windows starting up” screen. Wiped HD, reinstall XP. Resolution set to 1024 but for only few seconds then blow to 640, but still says res at 1024. If I set to 1280 holds fine, after half hour I changed back to 1024 and now is holding. Is the problem with the video card or the monitor?
