Video Driver Problem

by sgovin2 . Updated 19 years ago

Hi all

I am new to Linux. I need your help in this issue.
I have RedHat Linux Enterprise version 5 running on a Dell Optiplex GX260. It has an onboard Intel video card. I now bought a PCI Video card. The exact model is “Radeon X1300 256MB Pci Sff Dvi-i Tv-out HDtv”. I am having issues with the device driver for that card issued by ATI.

Also, when I do lspci command. The PCI card entry does not show anything related to Video but shows the following message “01:07.0 PCI bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. PEX 8111 PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge (rev 21)”. Is this normal or Is this an issue?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Suresh
