(virtual)desktop is too big

By europanorama ·
i have setup a new pc with winme(20 gb-hdd)

i can reach the folders which are outside the actual screen with the mouse. i relocated them to the actual screen(screen-surface which can be seen).

i do not have this behaviour on my other winme-machines. i do not want the desktop bigger than i can see. its 16 bit, small letters and 728 x1024 -videocard ati rage 128 agp.

Hi Michael,

Start by making sure that the display adapter and monitor drivers are correct.

Next, in display properties, click on the settings tab, and adjust the desktop size to equal to the display resolution setting.

thanks a lot charlie. it helped. but now i have an other problem. maybe this was established when i changed from nvidia riva tnt2 m64(impossible setting up in winme although i have installed directx 81, via 4 in 1 plus the videodriver(2 possibel onefound in taiwan).
actual problem: when winme starts the followin error is seen:
rundll
error in nvqtwk
nvcpdaemon is missing

i will now run defrag and scandisk on c. when there are no more errors i will relocate swap to d:
