Visa and server

By byteside ·
I just upgraded on of my workstations to vista business. yesterday I got IP address conflicts on my server, (small business server 2003). Today the vista machine is comming up with message telling me that this version of windows will not work with small business server 2003. Pushed button to find help with problem and came back with not help is available at this time. Has anyone heard of a problem with vista business and small business server 2003?

It would be wise to check the compatibility of your operating systems and software before doing an upgrade of this magnitude. Saves a lot of work later :)

would be to have put a different HDD in the system to test Vista first.
or -- clone the XP drive to go back to it if something went wrong

Vista doesn't work

by CG IT In reply to Another thought

the business addition of Vista doesn't work with SBS 2003 because of the way SBS communicates with clients and sets up computer accounts in Active Directory. The Http://<servername>/connectcomputer wizard will fail.
